Meet our staff

Mental health care begins with people, which is why our most unique resource is our staff of caring and deeply-committed individuals. Some have travelled thousands of miles to enhance their training and education. Others are, besides their training, either expats themselves or from international families, and they want to use their experience and skills to help our clients.

Functie Psychologist
Ms. Fanélie Rerat is a psychologist at PsyQ International The Hague.

Fanélie was born and raised in the suburbs of Paris, in France. She has been living in the Netherlands for the past 5 years.
After high school, Fanélie obtained her bachelor’s degree in philosophy. During her second bachelor’s, in psychology, she was an intern at a day-hospital in France specialized in psychotic patients, as well as at a medical and psychological center. During this internship, she gained experience with a variety of psychological disorders, in particular with anxiety, depression, addictions and psychotic disorders. She completed her master's degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Leiden during which she wrote a thesis on the concept of recovery and the Hearing Voices movement. She developed a deep interest in the studies of voices and in the benefit of peer-support groups.

In addition, Fanélie’s curiosity in mankind fosters a love for travelling and she has a passionate interest in music. Having worked and studied in the Netherlands gives her a pertinent sensitivity for the unique experience of being an expat.
