Jeanne Brugman was born in Amsterdam but moved to Germany when she was only one year old, and attended the European School in Frankfurt am Main. Following this, she moved to the UK, where she completed her Bachelor in Psychology at the University of Bath. As part of her studies, she fulfilled a one-year work placement at the Children’s Hospital and the Newborn Care Unit of the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. The rewarding nature of her placement duties, which included carrying out one-to-one interventions with young children and co-facilitating groups for mothers with premature babies, solidified her interest in clinical psychology as a career. To pursue this further, Jeanne moved back to the Netherlands to complete her Master's in Clinical Psychology at Leiden University. Though Jeanne values her international background immensely, she also understands the challenges of identifying with and adjusting to different cultures. During her placement at PsyQ International, Jeanne is keen to help those facing difficulties living as an expat in the Netherlands and hopes to develop and expand her clinical experience. Outside of work, Jeanne enjoys cooking with friends, reading and dancing.
