In the Netherlands the most important regulations for handling personal data are defined in the Personal Data Protection Act (DPA). The Data Protection Act is the Dutch elaboration of the European Data Protection Directive (95/46/EG). The DPA has been in force since September 1, 2001. All personal information obtained will be used in accordance with the Data Protection Act. Where your personal data is used it is also stated for what purposes. Your personal information will only be used for the purpose for which you issued them.
Due to PsyQ International being part of mental health care, the Personal Data Protection Act also applies along with the Medical Teatment Contract (WGBO; Wet op de geneeskundige behandelingsovereenkomst). According to the WGBO you have the right to access your file, or have it destroyed.
